Getting your professional career off to a solid start is never easy. As a former college and pro player I know the life and I know its about being prepared for the right opportunity. The Tucson Summer Pro League is all about providing an opportunity for young players to be seen and get valuable feedback from scouts and coaches.
The city of Tucson loves basketball and this league is made possible by a number of Tucson area businesses and sponsors. Everyone needs a little help at times and I’m proud to call these business leaders my friends. Our hope is that players make the most of this opportunity and create relationships that will help develop their careers.
History of the TSPL
In the summer of 2004, the Tucson Summer Pro League began under the direction of University of Arizona Men’s Basketball alumni Corey Williams. From 1992-1996 Williams was a versatile key player for the Wildcats. In his time under Coach Olson the Cats won two Pac-10 Championships and visited the NCAA Final Four in 1994.
Since it’s humble beginnings the TSPL has grown over the years thanks to tremendous community support from players, fans and sponsors. In 2007 the league expanded to Phoenix and founded the Phoenix Summer Pro League with great success. The PSPL featured top talent from the NBA and overseas and was a tremendous success.
In 2014 the TSPL for Kids was created. Boys and girls ages 11-13 compete in an exciting atmosphere and enjoy basketball the way it’s meant to be played.
We believe there is something for everyone at the TSPL and we look forward to seeing you there!
The Gregory School is located at 3231 N Craycroft Rd in Tucson AZ.
